 Last time I made comments about Joseph & Mary raising Jesus. How could they carry out such an incredible privilege? They certainly would need God’s continual help. Thoughtful parents know they also need God’s continual help. If Mary & Joseph could be led by the Spirit of God, then so can we. With God’s help we can instruct & guide youth for good & we must.

 Many of us are or have been parents, teachers & coaches much of our lives. We guide the development of youth, students & athletes.

 Can you imagine what God asked Joseph & Mary to do? They were to coach God‘s son as a builder. Jesus learned to build and create many things with wood. Then He went to work building His Church, His assembly of Believers.

 Getting my haircut last week I mentioned some of these thoughts about being a coach of Jesus & how could Joseph do that? My barber’s simple response, “He treated Him as a individual. We all are unique & need & deserve personal attention.”

 What can we learn from all this?

 1st, Be teachable, no matter what age, always learn & sharpen skills.

 2nd, Embrace the opportunities to influence others for good. Certainly we need the truth which is why we read scripture. And we need His help which is why Jesus gives His Spirit to those who follow Him. Learn to walk by faith. Guide others to do the same.
