Help One In Need🫴🏼

 John 5:5&6

5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.

6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”

 Comments:

v5 At this time Jesus is looking for a “certain man,” which His Father must have directed Him to see. The man must have been too weak to walk. Was he lame from birth? Did he or someone else make a mistake? Did someone act foolishly? Or was it just a happening? We don’t know how he was injured & we really don’t need to know. The important thing is, Jesus is there. But, 3 questions come to my mind:

1. Will Jesus help the man? Yes, He loves those He created.

2. Can He help the man? Of course, He is God.

3. Should He help the man? Why would He not?

 “Ben, open your eyes. Look for God’s leading to see the need of the one(s) He puts in your path.” One by one, Jesus helped needy people thru the power of His Father. He is very personal. We too can have God’s help to bring encouragement & strength to others.

 Years ago I had the privilege of assisting a wise pastor named David Auckland. We were prepping for a big event that would bring in 200+ people. He saw my excitement & said, “Ben, remember, we win them for Christ, one at a time.”

 As coaches we build our team one member at a time. “Lord, make me a help to that someone in need today.”🫴🏼
