Action Proves Belief😃

John 4:49-50

49 “The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!” 50 Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.

Ben's comments:

Jesus was looking for faith. Rich or poor, important or not, this man knows Jesus can heal his son. And maybe, Jesus is his only hope for the life of his boy. The nobelman's faith is urgent! He believes.v49

Jesus will give this man instructions on what to do. Will he do it? Of course he will, He believes.v50 When we believe we have little problem obeying.

This man is a leader. When he gives instructions he expects his workers to obey. He believes Jesus and so he obeys completely.

When we have problems obeying it's really due to our disbelief. Do we know the instructions of our coach or boss? Do we believe them? If so it will be easy to obey.

Let us keep reading, because clear understanding of scripture will make it easier to obey God. And the stronger our faith in God, the more hunger we will have for His Word. Interesting how that works. Do you lack faith? Do you lack motivation? Then fill your mind with His Word, His truth. Build your understanding and become bold as a lion in doing right.

Increased knowledge of truth, can increase faith & our boldness to do right.
